Michael Price was the guest speaker for the International Concrete Repair Institute. Mike spoke on many aspects of the colored concrete industry including the origins of colored and imprinted concretes, colored concrete products and how they have changed the paving industry.
Michael Price is President of Bay Area Concretes, Inc., an architectural concrete contractor and specialty materials supplier for the QC Construction Products brand of materials. Bay Area Concretes has been a family business since 1965 and has been practicing decorative and colored forms of cementitious materials installations since 1970. Bay Area Concretes, Inc. is one of the world's first three contractors to perfect the technology of Bomanite Stamped Concrete paving surfaces.
Michael placed concrete as a youth for Bay Area Concretes before he went to college. He holds a degree in Business Administration & Financial Management from the California Polytechnic State University at San Louis Obispo (CalPoly) where he graduated in 1990. Michael came to work for Bay Area Concretes, Inc. in the capacity of Salesman / Estimator in 1990.
Michael has been the past Chairman of the Board for the Bomanite International Society (BIS) of Contractors, served on many marketing committees for the BIS, and chairs a new business development program at Bomanite Corporation.
Michael will be speaking on many aspects of the colored concretes industry including the origins of colored and imprinted concretes, colored concrete products and how the have changed the paving industry, restoration products for colored concretes and the use of coloring agents in specialized restoration applications. As always, a question and answer period will follow the presentation.
