BOMANITE MICRO TOP
TECHNICAL BULLETIN:
Micro-Top by Bomanite is a unique two part cementitious material that will tenaciously bond to virtually any substrate including concrete, asphalt, wood, metal, and plastic. Micro-Top is a combination of a liquid polymer and a colored powder mixture. The material can be applied with a squeegee or troweled onto the surface at a thickness of approximately 20 mils (less than the thickness of a credit card). A wide range of colors can be applied to create uniformity or blended to create variegation in the finish. In many cases, Micro-Top can eliminate costly abrasive blasting required by other materials, as well as reduce costly forming and coloring in outdoor treatments. Limitless color combinations and graphic designs can be used to transform damaged existing concrete or other materials into cementitious art forms, without affecting surrounding materials and fixtures.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Colors
25 standard colors – Refer to the Bomanite Color Hardener/Release Agent Color Chart for color selections and names. Custom colors available upon request.
Shelf Life
Approximately 18 months. Keep Micro-Top Liquid stored indoors and above freezing temperatures. Micro-Top Powder should also be kept indoors and away from moisture.
Suggested Sealers
Bomanite Aquaseal, Bomanite Hydrocoat, Bomanite Interior Floor Seal
Maintenance
All installations should be professionally maintained on a routine basis to assure the preservation of a high-quality, long-lasting surface. This will vary depending on a number of factors including volume and intensity of traffic, UV exposure, geographical location and weather conditions. The use of a qualified flooring maintenance contractor is recommended, especially in commercial applications. Resealing will be required periodically, depending on the amount of foot traffic. Consult a qualified floor maintenance contractor for specific maintenance procedures.
Limitations
Certain aggressive stains, such as animal waste, proteins and hydraulic fluids, may produce “shadowing” in the finished flooring. Any of these materials found on the substrate should be cleaned with an appropriate cleaner and then sealed with a water-based epoxy.
Micro-Top will bond tenaciously to foreign materials that are bonded to the substrate, but the ultimate bond strength of Micro-Top is dependent on the bond strength of the foreign material.
Cautions
Keep out of the reach of children. Contains Portland Cement and free silica. See Material Safety Data Sheet for complete information.
